Privacy Policy & Legal Disclaimer Privacy Statement for United For Opportunity (www.UFOmusic.com) At United For Opportunity (UFO), we are committed to serving our customers and artists as best as we possibly can. We welcome your comments and feedback regarding the ongoing development of our website and related services. We understand the importance of protecting privacy on the Internet, and so we are designing and running our company with your experience in mind. We strive to keep your information confidential and secure. The following policy statement discloses UFO's information gathering and dissemination practices. IP Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information (such as browser type and version, plus other login session data) This information helps us diagnose problems with our server and administrate our website. Cookies UFO uses cookies to administrate the shopping cart feature in the stores section, and to manage your status as you use the website. For example, if you choose, cookies enable you to save your password so you don't need to re-enter it every time you logon to the website. Registration The UFO registration form is the form you use to initially become a member of the UFO website. As a part of this process the registration form requires you to provide contact information and demographic information that individually identify you, such as your physical address, name and email, i.e. "Personally identifying information" We may use information gathered from the registration form to keep you updated about UFO and our services. You may however, opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request this information. For further information about "opting out", see the choice/opt-out section of this policy statement. Contact information gathered from the registration form is used, when necessary, for us to contact you. Demographic and profile data gathered from the registration form is used to tailor our communications with you and for us to provide information we feel will be of value to you. To help our artists and record labels know where their fans are, we will share your general demographic information with the artists and record labels from whom you make purchases, including city, state, and zip code. Demographic and profile data are used solely for personalized communications and statistical information and are never shared with outside companies in ways that personally identify you. UFO will never share your mailing address, credit card, or any other personally identifiable information with any other companies or third parties without your permission. Order Form The UFO order form is the form you use to request information, products, and services that are of interest to you on the UFO website. As a part of this process, you are required to provide your contact information and detailed financial information that individually identify you, such as your physical address, name and email, i.e. "Personally identifying information". We may share information gathered from the order form with companies that help us operate our website, such as credit card companies. Contact information gathered from the order form is used to process your orders. This information is also used, when necessary, for us to contact you regarding your order. Financial information and contact information are used to process the transactions for products and services you have requested on the UFO website. All financial information is discarded once the transaction is complete. UFO does not retain your credit card number on our server. Links The UFO website contains links to other websites. UFO is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or anything else on these websites. Statistics UFO may collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our users on an aggregated (collected) basis. For example, we may track the number of users who view each page, the order in which pages are viewed, and other information, so as to learn which features are most popular and to refine and improve the design of the website, and our marketing efforts. Security This website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information we use in conducting our business. Our database servers and your credit card transactions are protected from intruders using 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. UFO may be required to release personal information about you as a result of a lawsuit or subpoena or in the case of "immediately necessity" to protect our rights or the rights or safety of others. Additionally, you should understand that "perfect security" does not exist on the internet. Children's Guidelines Children under the age of 13 are not eligible to use our services or the UFO website and we therefore request that such persons do not submit any information whatsoever to our company, or to any individuals affiliated with our company. United For Opportunity strongly encourages parents and guardians to supervise their children's online activities and to consider using parental control tools that available from online services and software manufacturers, so as to help maintain a safe and child-friendly online environment. These tools also can prevent children from disclosing their name, address, and other personally identifiable information online, without parental permission. Although the UFO website is not meant to be used by children under the age of 13, United For Opportunity does: - NOT knowingly collect online contact information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent or parental notification, which includes an opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information and participation in such activity. - NOT without prior parental consent, use or respond directly to a child's request or communication of any sort. Furthermore, without prior parental consent, we will not knowingly use the information received by a child, in any form, for any other purposes whatsoever. - NOT knowingly collect personally identifiable offline contact information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. - NOT knowingly distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information with respect to children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. - NOT knowingly give the ability to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally identifiable contact information with respect to children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. - NOT knowingly entice children under the age of 13 by the prospect of a special game, prize or other activity, to divulge more information than is needed to participate in the activity. Choice/Opt-Out The UFO website provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we initially request information. UFO also provides you with the option of removing your information from our database and to not receive future communications or services from us. If you no longer wish to receive communications from UFO, please use our contact form to let us know, and you will be removed from all communication lists. This policy may be revised at any time as new features or technologies are added. We will post the amended Privacy Policy prominently on our website so that you can always be aware of what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether or not we will disclose this information to any companies or third parties. UFO sells music in different file formats including MP3, AAC, WMA, and FLAC for your own personal use. This music is not intended to be resold, bartered, traded or publicly performed in any manner in violation of USA and international copyright laws. To obtain a public performance license, please contact UFO. Member Account, Password, and Security You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify UFO immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. UFO will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. Personal and Non-Commercial Use Limitation; Intellectual Property Rights The content available though the UFO Sites/Services is the property of UFO or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from the UFO Sites/Services. You acknowledge that UFO retains exclusive ownership of the UFO Sites/Services and all intellectual property rights associated therewith.
